Meeting at RHS Wisley 10 October 2011

I was invited to RHS Wisley for a meeting and it's like being invited to Lord's if you're keen on cricket. So I was rather nervous and most probably spoke waay too fast and sounded squeaky. However Lesley and her boss Kylie (blonde and Australian but younger and better looking than the original) were very welcoming.

They want to make the unfolding story of Coastal Gardening Society part of a workshop at RHS Wisley next month. Thankfully I won't have to do a presentation myself <phew>.

They both seemed to love my ideas. I do feel that a horticultural society is competing against other leisure  activities so it needs to provide a value for money experience and that sitting on manky chairs in a village hall listening to someone droning on just doesn't cut the mustard.

We live in a world with technology, we need to use it.

Coastal Gardening Society won't have committees. I think that might be cause controversy at the workshop..
