So today I got an everyone in their address book email from a nursery but no reply to one I'd sent about the first steering group meeting..and another email from a steering group member saying he has to pull out.
My husband had a go at me about getting more info on the blog and website instead of wittering on about our garden. The problem with that is, that I'm reluctant to give info on things until they are finalised. I could sit here and give details of speakers and people I've approached to join the steering group but then I'd look stoopid if they changed their minds/said no or the event wasn't even feasible.
At the moment I'm exploring an idea for improved garden security scheme which AFAIK hasn't been tried before in domestic gardens. I've got agreements in principle for talks on garden security and barbecue safety. I've got an idea to explore about growing samphire and finding a chef for a fish n samphire cookery demo. I've a date for a trip to Samphire Hoe. I am waiting to hear on a trip to another coastal area nearby. I've made a list of places to visit and identified speakers to ask. I've been invited to a mtg with RHS in October. I'm waiting to hear back from several ppl asked to join the steering group. I've set up a holding page for a website, I'm struggling to write content for it. I've got quite a few photos to put up when I do. I've got agreements in principle with three speakers. I've made contact with three seaside councils. Launch isn't until March...
