The canna cost £6.49 I believe, only a few weeks ago, from Lidl.
http://www.lidl.co.uk It may not seem like a good place to buy plants but I've had very few failures. This seems like it might be one of them, as it has hated the recent rain and doesn't seem any happier with sun. I first saw a canna in the village of Ramatuelle near St Tropez. I presumed it was a non-hardy container plant, but maybe it should be a houseplant in the UK.
If you have any experience of growing cannas, please comment !
